Dr. Stephanie Steinmetz has practiced pediatric dentistry for over 20 years in the over the mountain area. Her practice offers high quality pediatric dentistry for infants, children and adolescents in a professional, fun and caring environment with excellent customer service and high attention to detail. Her state-of-the-art, kid-friendly office is conveniently located in Vestavia Hills.

Dr. Stephanie's enthusiasm and love of pediatric dentistry is clearly evident throughout the office. Her sweet, confident and happy demeanor instantly puts children and their parents at ease.

Dr. Steinmetz received her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama. She attended The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery. She then completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and Kosair Children's Hospital, receiving a specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Steinmetz is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is active in many professional organizations and is on the teaching faculty at The UAB School of Dentistry and Children's Hospital of Alabama.

Dr. Stephanie enjoys working with children and their families to ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles! She lives in the over the mountain area with her husband and two boys.

"My pediatric dental office is special and unique in many ways. I have  a very experienced, sweet and happy dental team. Our practice offers great customer service and pays high attention to detail. We treat every child and parent as guests and make them feel welcomed. We run on "children's" time and tailor the visits to meet the needs of each child. We will spend as long as needed with each child to ensure they feel comfortable and enjoy their return visits. We are not a high volumn practice. Basically, I treat the parent and child the way my children and I would like to be treated. I make all treatment plan decisions as if I were treating my own children. I love my job and feel blessed to have been given the gift to help with children's dental needs. So many parents that I come in contact with have had a negative dental experience as a child and have carried those concerns into adulthood. I am so thankful that we are helping create a generation of kids that do not have those same concerns and are not afraid of the dentist. These patients have far fewer dental problems as they get older because they are not afraid to seek dental care. That is why it is so important for children to have good preventive care and a positive dental experience at a young age."
